I have felt like family at this place ever since my first visit. It took me a while to revisit (was traveling) and Sam even remembered all the conversations we had when my friend and I first visited. Everyone is so friendly and the food is incredible. The falafel might be the best falafel I've had . . . and I've had a lot of falafel. I've even taken falafel haters to Sam's and they now love falafel. The portions are huge and the menu always has new cool things to try!
If you are new to town and looking to feel welcome and nourished, Sam's is the best! -

Don't Play It Again Sam
I don't normally do 1-star reviews, and this one is a disappointment to have to write.
I was in the area and starving and I thought I'd grab some food at Sam's. I went in, some local kids were hanging out, I figured that's a good sign.
Let's cut to the chase, reasons for one star:
1) had to wait 15-20 minutes for one chinsey wrap with a meatball sized amount of meat in a large bread. I know, I should have walked out. The kids had received their food BTW and no one else had come in.
2)owner seemed nice, but was on the phone the whole time. Not that concerned I was waiting for ever for a basic item.
3)price was about $4 more than the prices on the wall - OH YA - THERE ARE NO PRICES ON THE WALL, just the prices in some take out menus on the counter with another place's name on them SMH.
At this point I was just fed up and starving, I paid the extortion fee and walked out, finished eating my appetizer sized shawarma thing in 2 seconds, and felt I let myself down by not asking about the price, but I didn't feel like spending another 20 minutes in the inevitable haggling. -

We ordered delivery. It was delivered quickly and easily. The chicken shawarma was delicious. It came with rice, hummus, salads, pickles, pita and garlic sauce. We also requested their delicious, unique hot sauce.
Originally I had planned on ordering through yelp which uses grubhub but we noticed they up-charged for all the sides that are generally included. That was on top of the delivery fee and whatever other fees they always charge. When I called the restaurant to ask about the up charge, he told me that the delivery sites charge more for all the dishes and sides and also charge him a fee. He provides delivery straight from the restaurant with only a reasonable delivery fee. I'm so glad I called! Thanks Sam! -

Tasty falafel sandwich (in a fresh pita wrap). It had those awesome pink pickles in it, tomato, lettuce, and they added some eggplant too. I had it with hot sauce. The chicken shawarma looked awesome, and it looks like they have a good drink and dessert selection too.

This is probably the best falafel and schwarma place I've been to in Boston. I had the lamb schwarma plate and the side of falafel. The falafel was fresh and tasty. The lamb was ok. The rest of the plate was healthy and not too oily or salty. I actually ate this and didn't feel like I had eaten fast food. Next time I'm going to try the chicken sandwich.
